Which maxi cab service do I need?
Pick by the job rather than the label. If a flight or a ship is involved, book airport or cruise transfers so we track the schedule. If someone uses a wheelchair or is going to an appointment, book the accessible or medical service so the right vehicle is allocated. If it repeats every week or every swing, book FIFO or corporate so it becomes a standing arrangement. If you are simply moving a group, group transport is the one you want. Do all 15 services cost the same?
Yes. Every service runs on the same Queensland Government taxi meter: $3.60 flagfall plus $2.19 per kilometre during the day, or $2.61 per kilometre between midnight and 5am and on public holidays. A wedding is not priced differently to a hospital run of the same distance. There is no booking fee, no card surcharge and no surge pricing.
Can I combine two services in one booking?
Yes, and it is common. A wheelchair accessible vehicle with a baby seat fitted, an airport transfer that starts at a hospital, a corporate account that also covers staff airport runs. Mention both requirements when you book so the right vehicle is allocated once rather than twice.
Are all services available 24 hours a day?
Yes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including Christmas Day and public holidays. The early hours are our busiest window because of airport departures and FIFO rosters. Wheelchair accessible vehicles and the 13-seater minibus are limited in number, so book those further ahead rather than same day.
